Academics
We believe that each person is divinely equipped with a unique set of abilities and potentials and is worthy of respect and dignity as an individual. Our School is concerned for the whole person and strives to develop each segment of the student’s life: intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
As a learning community, we strive to help students become disciplined, creative learners who learn to balance the pursuit of personal development with service-oriented values within the home, church, and society.
Athletics
Hurricane Academy offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities to enhance and enrich our students' academic experience. A big component of this is our athletic program. There are opportunities for students to participate in
Community
Community is one of Hurricane's core values. Hurricane cultivates a welcoming and supportive family of diverse members united behind the school’s mission, intentionally providing opportunities for educators, students and parents to interact in a variety of settings. Many activities take place on after school, in the evenings and on the weekends. There are often basketball games, soccer games, softball games and other activities that unite our community in a spontaneous and dynamic way.
Arts
We believe participation in the arts is key to providing a well-rounded educational experience. Students have many opportunities to participate in the arts at every age and level. Participating in the wide range of fine arts offerings opens the eyes of our students to a new world of creativity and exploration.
Student services
An advisory body called the Student Support Team meets regularly to enable mutual support and to best assist students. The Student Support Team functions to insure that a holistic view of each student is considered, and to coordinate services and efforts.
